Abu Dhabi Population & Residential Demand Analysis

Expatriates account for the overwhelming majority of residents in Abu Dhabi. Yet with gaps in official data, it's difficult to build a reliable picture of the city’s population and how it changes.

As a result, many major investment decisions in the region can be built on poor quality information. Leading real estate developer Aldar wanted to do things differently, and establish a clearer foundation for its residential strategy.  

Cistri was approached to undertake a detailed review of the city’s evolving population and its employment profile. We analysed Abu Dhabi’s employment, socio-economic trends and demographics, applying regional and international benchmarks to make sense of the current state. This helped Aldar align its residential strategy with the changing profile of the local population.
