Enabling Village Placemaking Plan

SG Enable Ltd (SG Enable), the focal agency for disability and inclusion in Singapore, enables persons with disabilities to live, learn, work and play in an inclusive society. Together with LOPELAB, we worked closely with SG Enable to prepare a comprehensive placemaking plan to activate spaces within Enabling Village (managed by SG Enable) and its surrounding neighbourhood, helping to foster inclusive programming and community engagement. 

Our strategy focused on creating more opportunities for interaction between Persons With Disabilities (PWDs) and the general public. We worked with SG Enable to implement a placemaking prototype as part of the plan.

The project sought to create a vibrant and accessible hub, using extensive stakeholder engagement, inclusive programming and accessibility enhancements to promote social cohesion and understanding.
