“I had the chance to work on several transformational urban development projects in recent years. Two of the most complex but rewarding projects include feasibility and strategy studies for the airport city masterplans of Singapore and Shenzhen. Both high-profile projects, the potential impact on the airport authority’s future financial performance is immeasurable,” said Jonathan Denis-Jacob, Director.

Other notable projects that Jonathan has brought to life, include two large-scale tourism masterplans, one with over 850 hectares in Sihanoukville, Cambodia and the other with 2,000+ hectares in Labuan Bajo, Indonesia.  “Interestingly, both projects were key national tourism priority projects and were granted a special economic zone status by their respective governments,” shared Denis-Jacob.

“With an ability to understand the planning constraints and opportunities for cities as well as the economic pressures and drivers, Jonathan is in a strong position to help our clients achieve their goals. We are very excited about the addition of Jonathan to our growing team.” Jack Backen, Regional Director, Cistri.

In my opinion, the best city shaping projects are those that are commercially viable while also achieving long-term social and public benefits.
