The Tunku Laksamana Johor Cancer Centre, initiated by the Johor Royal Family, will introduce a new standard of integrated cancer care to patients in Johor and the surrounding region.
The greenfield facility will combine a comprehensive range of advanced cancer diagnosis and treatment services, research into next-generation therapies and training of medical staff under one roof.
Phase 1 of the centre will offer an ambulatory cancer facility containing 30 day beds, and will be able to treat up to 7,000 patients a year at full capacity.
Cistri supported our client by providing an overview of the Malaysia and Johor healthcare market and an assessment of demand for oncology services both at the regional level and local level. Drawing upon this assessment our analysis then provided revenue forecasts for the cancer centre and recommendations on the proposed scheme.
““Johor will be the first in Malaysia, and indeed in the Southeast Asia region, to have such a comprehensive specialist cancer centre.”
–Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar, 25th Sultan of Johor
