KLIA Aeropolis is a demonstration of Cistri’s ability to collaborate across its multi-disciplinary practices to provide design, property market and economic advice.

The 100 sq.km airport city masterplan is located within one of Kuala Lumpur’s most significant economic growth corridors. With KLIA as its anchor, MAHB needed to understand the appropriate land use mix, phasing and physical layout of that it should include in its masterplan.

Our analysis of the property covered future supply and demand for residential, office, industrial, hotel, medical and entertainment sectors.

Our advice included the optimal physical development strategy to leverage the existing road and rail infrastructure and create synergies with the passenger and freight activities at KLIA.

Our recommendations include clustering of commercial and industrial activities closer to their surrounding infrastructure. We also recommended retention of certain strategic areas for future expansion and arrival of emerging development activities.

Cistri’s multi-disciplinary team of town planners, property economists and urban designers combined to provide long term urban growth solutions grounded in market fundamentals.
