Peter Hyland has been honoured by the Property Council for his long-term contribution to the organisation and the property industry.

Recently appointed as Regional Director of Cistri, Urbis Australia’s international business based in Singapore, Peter was conferred with Queensland Honorary Life Membership at the Property Council’s 20 Year Anniversary Dinner on Tuesday evening. Peter was formerly Regional Director of Cistri’s parent company, Urbis, in Queensland.

Guy Gibson, Lendlease General Manager Queensland, Communities, Development, also received the honour.

Queensland Executive Director of the Property Council, Chris Mountford, said the pair had a significant influence on the organisation’s success over the past two decades.

Mr Mountford said: “Guy and Peter have both had highly demanding roles in their respective companies, yet have made the time to go above and beyond in their involvement with the Property Council”.

Peter added: “I’m extremely proud to have received this honour. The Property Council is a phenomenal organisation and one which I will always seek to continue to enjoy contributing towards.”

Peter was elected as a member of the Queensland Division Council in 2006 and served until his relocation to Singapore a few months ago. Peter’s inexhaustible contribution over many years has greatly benefited the research and thought-leadership aspects of the Property Council’s advocacy, as well as the Division’s commercial operations.

Peter has set a new benchmark for personal and corporate support to the industry through his involvement with the Property Council.
