Our team contributed to a masterplan feasibility for a new tourism zone in China. Together with a team of architects and planners, we provided thorough economic analysis and feasibility assessment to inform and shape the conceptual masterplan, including market analysis and positioning, feasibility of different uses, demand and the business case.

Potentially covering an area of 5 sq.km, the concept plan acted as part of an economic development area initiative. It included space for residential, commercial, schools, research and education, culture and entertainment, sports, and a public open space.

Some specific tasks that our team tackled include a review of relevant policy and analysis of the key themes and other activities that may cluster on the site to provide a strong attraction for visitors, businesses and residents. It was crucial to determine the scale and mix of the cultural, entertainment and educational components.
