Michael is a designer and urban strategist who has spent the last 20+ years working on city building and region shaping projects around the world. In the Middle East and China, Michael has led the master planning and design of several of the region’s most ambitious projects.

In his practice, Michael focuses on creating compelling, place-led design solutions for projects at a range of scales – from plazas and streetscapes to large-scale master plans for cities and regions.

As an accomplished facilitator and speaker, Michael regularly presents and consults internationally on issues related to waterfront development, placemaking, urban renewal and creating healthy cities. He has also contributed to numerous publications, summer schools, urban design master classes, and placemaking seminars.
